Although Corey Clark from Season Two of American Idol refuses to badmouth Paula Abdul, he says because of his 2003 alleged affair with the former judge, “The last ten years of my life has been sh*tty.”
In an exclusive interview with RumorFix, the singer/songwriter says even today when he goes out for a job interview or meets someone new they always ask “Well didn’t you lie about Paula Abdul and didn’t you lie when you were on the show American Idol?”
He says people have been downright nasty to him. “I’ve had people throw eggs at me while I’m walking down the streets with my wife and kids,” he told us. “I’ve had people run up and sucker punch me, threatening the life of my children while I’ve been on radio on-air, threaten my life, call me negative epithets.”
So Corey is now suing FOX (the network that airs Idol) and E! to clear his name. He says E!’s True Hollywood story claimed Corey’s alleged affair with Paula was false.
“I’m suing because that spilled over into my personal life,” Corey says. But, he says, Paula never denied the relationship — so he’s not suing her.
