When you think Christina Aguilera, you probably don’t think “jazz” … at least not at first. But we just found from her website out that The Voice coach has been added to the list of prestigious performers for the 2014 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on Friday, May 2, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. First of all, not all the performers are strictly jazz artists. Second of all, her deep voice and rich notes lend themselves perfectly to the genre, which is steeped in history. So we think it makes perfect sense.
It’s certainly a heavy-duty musical cast of characters, as Xtina joins powerhouse performers such as Eric Clapton, Santana, Aaron Neville, Robin Thicke, Phish, Bruce Springsteen, and many more. Now that’s a lineup!
With her show’s newly won People’s Choice Award, hit song collaborations with A Great Big World and Lady Gaga, a steady long-term boyfriend, her own scent, and the hint of a new album dropping soon, all eyes are on Xtina these days. And that’s a good thing, as girlfriend is looking smoking hot and has maintained the weight loss she first showed off at the beginning of Season 5.
2014 is yours, Christina!
Will you consider going to Jazz Fest this year? What do you think of Xtina’s addition to the lineup? Sound off in the comments!Source: ChristinaAguilera.com
