If your debut single is the most important song you ever release, then Kacey Musgraves is off to an awesome start. "Merry Go 'Round," the first single from the Texas native's brand-new album, Same Trailer Different Park, is a clever and edgy snapshot of what life in a small town can be like. Those same words could also be used to describe the 11 other tracks on the project, which is out today (March 19). The Top 10 hit, co-written by Kacey, Josh Osborne and Shane McAnally, showcases the singer-songwriter's whimsical way with lyrics.

"I love words," Kacey says. "I love how intricate they can get. Even in simple conversation, I like it when language is colorful ... When I was in school, one of my favorite subjects was always creative writing."
