The Boot rounds up today's country music news from around the web.

Nelly is getting his country toes wet again. Following his 2004 "Over and Over" duet with Tim McGraw, the rapper is headed back to the country airwaves with a remix of Florida Georgia Line's hit song, "Cruise." "When we caught wind that Nelly was a fan of 'Cruise,' we were floored. We've been fans of his music for years and thought it would be cool to team up on a remix," explains the duo's Brian Kelley. The remix is expected to be released sometime this spring. [Country Weekly]

Nelly is also a fan of Taylor Swift, so much so that he decided to surprise her fans at the Red tour stop in St. Louis this week. He joined buddy Taylor on his hit, "Hey Porche," at the sold-out show, much to the delight of the screaming audience. [YouTube]
