Bruno Mars became a ‘drummer-boy’ at the Pepsi half-time Super Bowl show.
The 28-year-old appeared in a gold suit and ‘rocked-out’ on the drums before raising the roof with a high octane performance in East Rutherford, New Jersey, as the Seattle Seahawks took on the Denver Broncos at MetLife Stadium.
Wearing a shiny gold suit the 28-year-old singer then performed his songs ‘Locked Out of Heaven’ ’Treasure’ and ‘Runaway Baby’.
Despite the chilly temperatures guitarist Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers went shirtless as they performed ‘Give it Away’ with Bruno alongside their frontman Anthony Kiedis.
The Grammy winner gave a polished performance with a touching rendition of ‘Just The Way You Are’ – which was dedicated to military personnel along with short video clips – rounding off the entertainment.
Beyonce was the star of last year’s Super Bowl half-time show with other recent performers including Madonna in 2012, The Black Eyed Peas with Usher and Slash in 2011, The Who in 2010 and Bruce Springstein in 2009.
Earlier in the day Soprano Renee Fleming sang the ‘National Anthem’ while Queen Latifah belted-out ‘America The Beautiful’ before the game kicked-off.
