As if the last few days haven’t been crazy enough for quarterback Russell Wilson, the 25-year-old athlete’s making some new friends in very high places.
Just one day after leading the Seattle Seahawks to their first-ever Super Bowl victory, Russell was spotted sitting courtside with none other than Beyonce and Jay Z. The trio showed their support for the Brooklyn Nets basketball team, as they watched them beat the Philadelphia 76ers 108-102. Nets shooting guard Jason Terry even paused mid-game to congratulate Russell and shake his hand.
While there’s no word yet on whether this was anything more than three famous people watching a game, we wouldn’t be surprised if it was a business meeting of sorts. After all, Jay Z’s been bringing numerous athletes into his Roc Nation sports management division, most recently signing Robinson Canó to the Seattle Mariners.
As for Beyonce, the “Drunk in Love” singer looked fabulous as always while watching the game at the Barclays Center. The 32-year-old songstress paired a Karl Lagerfeld plaid jacket with a Eugenia Kim pom-pom hat, then finished off her look with edgy Prada boots. She smiled widely as she sipped on champagne, letting Jay Z and Russell do most of the talking.
