The shame, Bachelor Nation! What, you’d rather watch athletes spin and jump and mogul their way to silver than tune in for TV GOLD!?
Apparently, Juan Pablo Galavis isn’t quite the treasure trove viewers were looking for on February 10, and the Olympics in Sochi nabbed the majority of TV watching folks. Last night, the fewest people of the whole season tuned in to watch him hang with Hobbits — and his remaining eight girls — in New Zealand.
Season 18 Episode 6 pulled in a 2.3 rating, with a 6 ratings share in the 18-49 demographic, according to TVBytheNumbers by Zap2It. So, how many people tuned in to watch? Uh, 7.78 million. While that may not seem too shabby, it’s more than half a million fewer than the February 3 episode, which saw a 2.6 rating and 8.33 million fans watch JPG and Clare Crawley’s awkward hookup.
The previous lowest week was January 13’s Episode 2, which drew the same 2.3 rating, but with a 7.96 million viewer audience. Last night, the Winter Olympics grabbed the lion’s share of couch-sitting entertainment fans, with a 6.4 rating, a 17 in the ratings share, and 22.16 million viewers! It’s a tough act to follow, but The Bachelor came in second for the primetime slot.
We hope more people will tune in next week, now that only six girls remain and we’re closer than ever to finding out who Juan Pablo picks!Source: TVBytheNumbers by Zap2It
