There are several things we like about Aubrey O’Day — she has amazing pipes, she provides an occasional nip slip and she always speaks her mind.
In an interview on DomNnate Radio, the 29-year-old took on P. Diddy and Danity Kane.
“He wants complete control,” she says of Diddy, which caused clashes between the mentor and the all-girl band. “We were real artists, so we wanted to have a say in everything we were creating.”
She adds it was never about MTV’s show Making Of The Band, “It was about having two platinum albums.”
Trying to be as poitically correct as possible, she says of Diddy: “He likes to have things the way he wants to have them. There’s very little room for movements beyond his thoughts.”
The singer, who went on to star in Celebrity Apprentice, says, “At the end of the day, he created a platform that allowed us all to shine.”
But she wants to make something clear, “He didn’t create us.” She credits Mr. and Mrs. O’Day with that saying, “I’ve been singing since I was three years old … Our parents created us and we fine-tuned and rehearsed and used every bone of our body to be dedicated to something we wanted to perfect — a talent inside of us.”
So that begs the question: Is Danity Kane getting back together?
And the girls, who parted company in 2009, have been seen together recently enjoying dinners, which sparked reunion rumors. “None of us are girls that like to have unfinished business,” she says. “And Danity Kane was left in a place where we had unfinished business — so there’s you answer.”
