We’ve made it through audition cities, Hollywood Round, and the all-new Rush Week — now the moment we’ve been waiting for has finally arrived! It’s time to learn which of the American IdolSeason 13 contestants have earned themselves a place in the finals!
First to be announced are the Top 5 Girls and Top 5 Guys which America voted for after watching hours of performances earlier this week. The lucky ten to take a seat on the stools are (drumroll please!): Malaya Watson, Ben Briley, Emily Piriz, Alex Preston, Jess Meuse, Dexter Roberts, Caleb Johnson, Majesty Rose, MK Nobilette, and Sam Woolf.
But those aren’t the only hopefuls that will go on to sing for America’s vote. The judges have hand-selected five of the remaining 10 contenders to sing for a shot at one of three wildcard spots.
Next up is Jena Irene Asciutto, the 17-year-old powerhouse who wowed the judges with her rendition of “Paint It Black” earlier this week. Taking the stage with her original song “Unbreakable Me,” Jena delivers yet another rockstar performance.
“That was a really good use of that moment,” says Keith. “To show that kind of talent, no band, no nothing. Completely raw and vulnerable. That’s a really good artist sound right there, baby.”
Do you think Jena deserves one of the wildcard spots?
