Alec Baldwin won numerous Emmys and other awards for his hilarious portrayal of NBC bigwig Jack Donaghy on the long running comedy 30 Rock.
And now he’s returning to the small screen, only this time as himself.
MSNBC announced Thursday that the actor will host a weekly talk show called Up Late With Alec Baldwin. Alec has hosted a weekly podcast since 2011 and is familiar with interviewing big names on a wide variety of topics. The show will air at 10 pm on Friday nights starting in October and will focus on current events and pop culture.
The 55-year old new dad said in a press release that “after two seasons of my WNYC podcast, I’ve developed a fondness for hosting a show that involved talking with smart, talented, and engaging people in every imaginable field. I’m grateful to MSNBC for helping me bring a similar show to television.”
