A&E's Shipping Wars star Roy Garber passed away on Friday night. Roy died shortly after suffering a massive heart attack and was only 49 years old. TMZ reveals the reality star had an existing heart condition. The reality star, a fan favorite nicknamed "Silver Jesus," owned and operated Arbie's Team Transport in New Hampshire. He leaves behind a teenage son named Travis (who he raised by himself), a long-time girlfriend, and his beloved cat and favorite traveling companion Muffy.
Fans are tweeting an outpouring of love for the recenly departed star, and a rep from A&E released this statement in response to Roy's death: “We are deeply saddened by the loss of a member of the A&E family [...] Our thoughts are with Roy’s loved ones during this difficult time. He will be missed.”
Shipping Wars, which started in 2012, is a reality show on A&E about independent truckers who pick up big jobs under tights time constraints that regular carries will not accept — and make a lot of money doing it. The show is currently just finished its fifth season.
