Will these coaches on The Voice never learn that we want — nay, need — them to have great hair? First, Usher’s mother started a petition to get him to cut his long locks after the sexy singer had grown them out to play Sugar Ray Leonard in the 1970s based biopic Hands Of Stone. Now, People Magazine’s reigning “Sexiest Man Alive,” Adam Levine, has posted a pic of a new and drastic haircut on Twitter, and it’s not good. Not good at all.
The caption reads, “Check this s—t out.” It’s accompanied by a photo of … eh … we don’t even know. It looks like a mohawk gone very wrong, as the sides are buzzed while the top has gone off in every different direction possible. It’s almost as though Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz met up with a malfunctioning lawn mower. Oy. Even Adam himself looks disillusioned with the not-so-dapper ‘do, as that is most definitely a “frowny” face.
Perhaps he’s trying to get back his street cred? He took a lot of flak after People’s nomination. Either way, though, it’s shocking, especially considering The Voice makeup artist, Darcy Gilmore, once called him a “dream male client.”
“He can actually tell the difference between good and bad makeup,” said Darcy. “He has a very accurate eye and has great hair ideas.”
In our opinion, this definitely does not fall under the category of “great hair ideas.”
What do you think? Is it hip and edgy or simply bad and so, so wrong? Sound off in the comments!
