PIONEER DAY STARTS WITH MOVE YOUR CABOOSE/RUNNIN’ THE RAILS– Sign ups are now open. Preregistar for the 5K/10K 1mile Run at 6:15 am.
PIONEER PARADE - Registration will be at Skiatook High School at 8:00 am before parade starts at 9:00 am. You MUST Registrar. No parade fee. The MIDWAY will feature many new vendors this year and new types of food too sample along with crafts, amusement rides, bungee runs, hot air balloon rides, horseshoe tournament, Chili Cookoff, and more. The main stage will feature the presentations of our Golden Couples and Pet Contest, Little Miss and Mister Pageant, Duck Dynasty Contest followed by afternoon of local performers in concert. Anchoring the WEST end of the celebration will be "Fantasy On Wheels" annual car show (sponsored by Taylor Motors) held in the parking lot of the West Rogers Campus of First Baptist Church. This event has grown every year and early registrations indicate this year will be the biggest ever-bringing participants from all over Oklahoma and surrounding states. On the EAST end of Skiatook, stop by and tour the Skiatook Museum from 10:00 - 3:00 and the Pioneer Day Rodeo will be underway at 8:00 pm.
VENDORS New items so far this year consist of DUCK DYNASTY CONTEST (Duck calls, donut eating, beard contest), Hot Air Balloon Rides, Bungee Run, Horse Shoe Tournament, fried strawberry pies, spicy seasonings, bulldog wear, smoothies, photography, motorcycles and a variety of jewelry booths. Amusement rides are back and we always have the famous funnel cakes, corn dogs, frozen lemonade.
