No Cover | Hundreds in prizesCharityOkie is karaoke for a cause. This year TYPros will host four CharityOkie events to raise money for the 2013 community partner, The Arts & Humanities Council of Tulsa.
It's time for the third CharityOkie event and this time it's family-friendly and hosted by Guthrie Green. Are you a parent? We'd love for you to bring the kids - any age can sing, dance along to songs, or just play in the water fountain. Please note that our microphones are lacking a 3-second delay so we are unable to control any word-choice indiscretion.
We are looking forward to hearing you all sing (or scream or squawk) on the Green! Be sure to swing by for a song or two - it's always free to sing and we'll have hundreds in prizes. And every dollar raised will be donated to our 2013 community partner, the Arts & Humanities Council of Tulsa.
How do we raise money at a karaoke event if it's free to sing and there's no cover? Well, let us explain: C-notes, CharityOkie money, will be available for purchase (pay with cash or credit) for a variety of entertaining reasons. You can use C-notes to "gong" someone off stage, you can use C-notes to vote for your favorite performers ($1 = 1 vote); check out the full list of purchase options below: Free to SingSing a song on the top 25 list of overplayed songs at your own risk - no gong insurance allowed$10 to gong someone off stage$10 gong insurance$50 "act of gong" to override the gong insuranceSing it now: When the wait gets long, emcee will auction off a “Sing It Now” to the highest bidder. Winner will sing immediately following, includes gong insurance
Seriously, you're going to be here anyway. Be a dear and volunteer.
We need volunteers to help with the donation buckets to ensure we raise lots of money for AHCT. Email Stephanie Cameron and let her know when you can help out!
