Available Seats: 6An introduction to Sumi-e, Japanese inkbrush painting. Full Description: Sumi-e is an ancient Japanese art form. The painting is done on rice paper using a special brush and ink that the painter grinds him/herself using an inkstick, water, and an inkstone. Participants will learn to prepare their own ink and paint the strokes of the first of the four traditional subjects, bamboo.
