Available Seats: 12Batik is a fabric dying method using wax to create patterns and designs. This method uses a resist technique where the areas of the cloth treated with wax do not absorb colors when cloth is dipped into dye. Participants will create designs through applying wax with handmade stamps, copper tjaps (traditional batik tools) and tjantings (batik drawing pens) then experiment with dying techniques to create unique dish cloths and cotton aprons.
