The legendary prankster Till Eulenspiegel gets his comeuppance in German composer Franz Hasenhrls unique take on Richard Strausss tone poem. Mozarts intimate Adagio and Rondo recalls friendly music making in the salons of Old Europe, while David Maslankas contemporary Wind Quintet No. 2 showcases the American composers distinctively accessible style. Crowning the program is a performance of Johannes Brahmss dazzling yet intimate Trio for Horn, Violin and Piano.
